Every day that I learn something new is a GOOD day. Our profession is progressing at lightening speed with evolving new technologies which makes it critical to stay on top of new tactics and how to incorporate them into your communications strategies. Professional growth and development is a major focus for SCPRSA. Each month at our regional luncheons, we feature dynamic speakers to share with us emerging trends and best practices. As I mentioned in my message last month, the SCPRSA Board will be meeting on June 1 in Charleston to begin work on our five year strategic plan. We’d like to extend an invitation to any of our members who would like to join us for a day of brainstorming and collaboration. Contact me if you are interested in attending. New to the competition this year were the Jupiter Awards, presented to individuals for exceptional contributions to the use of social media as a communications tool. SCPRSA presented three awards in this category, representing each of the chapter’s regions. A special congratulations to our first Jupiter Awards winners:
