October President's Report: Leadership Slate & PD Conference

Dear SCPRSA Members:

It’s hard to believe that it’s already Fall! The South Carolina Chapter of PRSA has had a great 2010 program year so far, highlighted by a well-attended Mercury Awards Banquet and Spring Development Conference as well as dynamic monthly programming in all three regions.

With 2011 just around the corner, a committee of members from across the state, chaired by Immediate Past President Brett Turner, APR, has developed a slate to serve as next year’s leadership – based on your nominations. This slate will be voted on by the membership during the SCPRSA Annual Meeting, held during the Fall Professional Development Conference. This year’s conference will be in Columbia on Friday, November 5, 2010 and is being co-sponsored by our colleagues with the S.C. chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. We fully expect a sell-out crowd, so be sure to register today on the conference website.
