It’s hard to believe that the year is more than halfway over! In the past few months, SCPRSA has hosted a dynamic Mercury Awards and Spring Professional Development Conference – with a special visit by our national PRSA Chairman, Gary McCormick of HGTV – and hosted engaging luncheon presentations from Greenville all the way to Charleston. In November, we are partnering with IABC-SC for our Fall Professional Development Conference and annual meeting.
Your SCPRSA Board is already preparing for next year’s leadership, and we need your help. Nominations for the 2011 SCPRSA Board and Committees are due this Friday, August 13.
If you have considered becoming more involved in the Chapter, now is the time! There are positions to suit varying levels of time commitment and interests. If you’ve noticed another member that might like to take on a leadership role – nominate them! The Call for Nominations form and instructions are available on the web here. The Nominating Committee, led by Immediate Past President Brett Turner, APR, will be compiling the nominees and developing the slate to present to the membership for approval on November 5.

I can't believe we are halfway through the year. Our annual PD Conference is right around the corner. We need to have a great showing since we are teaming with IABC this year. I'm thinking we need some sort of competition... :)
